Statement of Faith
1. We believe in the triune Godhead as eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:16,17, Matthew 28:19, John 15:26.
2. We believe Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son, both Savior and Lord.
3. We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived sinless, performed miracles, died for our sins, was bodily resurrected, lives in heaven as our eternal High Priest, and will return to rule as King forever. Matthew 1:8, Hebrews 4:14-16, Acts 2:22, Romans 5:6-11, John 20:24-29, Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 7:24-27, Revelation 11:15.
4. We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace through a personal faith in Jesus Christ.
5. We believe that divine healing spirit, mind and body is provided through the sacrificial death of Jesus. Isaiah 53:4-6, Matthew 8:16-17.
6. We believe the Holy Spirit and His gifts are given to believers for the building up of the body of Christ.
7. We believe the Holy Spirit comes to live in all who accept Jesus as the savior, and will fill all believers who desire to make Him Lord of their lives. Acts 2:38-39, Romans 12:6-8, I Corinthians 12:7-8, Ephesians 4:8-13, Acts 1:8.
8. We believe the Bible was written and is understood by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and is the only standard for faith and practice. II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21.
9. We believe the church is called to be holy, set apart disciples, I Peter 1:15-16, who have repented of their sin, received Christ as Savior and Lord, and are seeking God’s grace to live an obedient committed Christian life.
10. We believe that communion of the Lord’s supper and water baptism were commanded by Jesus, for responsible born again believers. Matthew 26:26-28, John 13:1-17, Matthew 28:19.
11. We believe in a positive love and peace witness, seeking to express the love of Christ, the prince of peace, to all people in all relationships. Matthew 5:38-45, Romans 12:19-21.
12. We believe that it is God’s intention that Christian marriage be the union of one man and woman for life and Christians should choose believers as marriage partners. Matthew 19:3-9, II Corinthians 6:14-16.
13. We believe in evangelistic and missionary endeavor which includes the whole range of human needs. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Matthew 25:31-46.
14. We believe in the personal return of Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Revelation 19:16
15. We believe in the resurrection of the body for judgment of both the saved and lost for their eternal destiny, either heaven or hell.
